Copyright 1998 - Robert Baer Jr. A poem - "A Prison" A Prison Life seems sometimes like a box Without a door, without a lock Four walls, a ceiling and a floor When you're not happy anymore There is no way out from inside A cube-like prison, a place to hide The shattered feelings deep within That come to surface once again Happiness seems so far away When your life's in disarray Nothing matters, nothing seems real Nothing changes the way you feel Although I've commited no crime I appear to still be "doing time" In the prison of my mind Until peace someday I find.
